List Randomizer
Paste one item per line, then shuffle the order, draw winners, or split everyone into teams. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it works
The list is shuffled with the Fisher–Yates algorithm, using crypto.getRandomValues for each swap with a rejection step that avoids modulo bias, so every ordering is equally likely. Picking items takes the first n of a fresh shuffle, so nobody is picked twice.
Teams are dealt out like cards, one item at a time round-robin, so team sizes differ by at most one. Groups of a set size fill in order, and the last group may be smaller.
Frequently asked
Is the shuffle actually fair?
Yes. Fisher–Yates with unbiased secure random numbers gives every possible ordering the same probability, unlike the common sort-with-a-random-comparator trick, which is subtly biased.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
It's fine for informal draws. For a regulated prize draw, check the rules where you are and keep a record of the entries, because this tool doesn't store anything.
Is my list saved or uploaded?
No. It exists only on the page and disappears when you close or reload it.
