Privacy Policy
Short version: the tools run in your browser, you don't need an account, and what you type into a calculator is not sent to us.

What we collect
We don't ask you to create an account, and the tools don't send your inputs (numbers, text, files, images) to our servers. The calculations happen on your device.
If you email us at hello@curiousassistant.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and to improve the site.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this site automatically records technical details of each request, such as IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type and referring page. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
Cookies and local storage
We don't set cookies of our own, and this site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Some tools save your work in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back: Online Notepad, Checklist Maker, Pomodoro Timer, Semester Planner, Time Table Maker, Student Budget Planner, Resume Builder, Reading Speed Calculator, Typing Speed Test, Transcript Generator and Browser Info Detector. That data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Third parties that see your request
A few features involve a third party receiving something from your browser:
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- DNS Lookup. The domain name you enter is sent from your browser to a public DNS-over-HTTPS service (Google Public DNS or Cloudflare DNS) to get the answer.
- HTTP Status Checker and Website Speed Tester. Your browser makes a request directly to the web address you enter. We don't see it, but that website will see your IP address.
- Image Detail Analyser. If a photo contains GPS coordinates, the tool offers a link to OpenStreetMap. Nothing is sent unless you click it.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Children
The site is general-purpose and not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. The only personal information we're likely to hold is an email you sent us. Write to hello@curiousassistant.com and we'll respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. If we ever add analytics, advertising or accounts, this page will be updated before they go live.
