BIMI Logo Maker

Turn your logo into the SVG file BIMI requires, then download it together with your DNS record and setup steps, ready to put on your hosting. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

1. Make the logo

or drop it here
PREVIEW OF YOUR BIMI LOGO

2. Get the DNS record

PUBLISH AS A TXT RECORD NAMED default._bimi

3. Add it to your hosting

The kit you download contains your logo, the DNS record and a HOW-TO-PUBLISH.txt with your own domain filled in. The short version:

  1. Upload the logo. In your hosting control panel (cPanel File Manager, Plesk or FTP), open your website root, create a bimi folder and upload bimi-logo.svg into it.
  2. Check it loads. Open the address from step 2 in a browser. You should see the logo over https. If the browser downloads the file or shows code, rename the included htaccess.txt to .htaccess and put it in the same folder so the server sends it as an SVG.
  3. Add the TXT record. In the DNS panel for your domain, add the record shown above. Some panels want only default._bimi as the name and add the domain for you.
  4. Make sure DMARC is enforcing. BIMI needs p=quarantine or p=reject at 100%. Build one with the DMARC Record Generator.
  5. Verify. After DNS updates, run the BIMI Record Checker.

What makes a good BIMI logo

BIMI logos are shown small, usually cropped to a circle, so simple wins. Use a solid background, keep the mark inside the safe margin and avoid tiny text. This maker draws your logo as flat vector shapes in the SVG Tiny PS profile, which is the only format BIMI accepts: version 1.2, baseProfile="tiny-ps", a title, a square viewBox, no scripts, no embedded images, and a file under 32 KB.

Tracing works best on flat logos with a few solid colours. If yours has gradients, shadows or photographic detail, it will be simplified; a designer can redraw it as clean vectors and you can run that SVG through this tool to fix the technical attributes. Mail providers make the final decision on whether to show a logo, and Gmail and Apple Mail also require a VMC or CMC certificate, which this tool does not issue.

Frequently asked

What file does BIMI need?

BIMI needs an SVG Tiny PS file: a square SVG with version 1.2, baseProfile tiny-ps and a title, containing only plain vector shapes. It cannot contain embedded or linked images, scripts, animation or live text. This tool builds that file for you.

Can I turn my PNG or JPG logo into a BIMI logo?

Yes. The maker traces your image into flat vector shapes, because BIMI does not allow a PNG to be embedded inside the SVG. It works best on flat logos with a few solid colours. Photos, gradients and very fine detail do not trace well; redraw those in a vector editor.

Is my logo uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is read and converted inside your browser. The finished file is created on your device when you press Download, and you host it yourself.

Do I need a certificate to show the logo?

It depends on the mail provider. Gmail and Apple Mail need a VMC or CMC certificate, which comes from a certificate authority, not from this tool. Some providers, such as Yahoo and Fastmail, can show a logo without one. Provider rules change, so check their current requirements.

Where do I put the downloaded files?

Upload the SVG to your website hosting so it loads over https, for example at yourdomain.com/bimi/bimi-logo.svg. Then add the TXT record in your DNS panel. The kit includes step-by-step instructions with your own domain filled in.

Why does my logo look different once traced?

Tracing redraws the image from its colours, so very small text, soft shadows and gradients are simplified. Raise the number of colours or lower smoothness for more detail, and keep the file under 32 KB.
