Turn a quote into a shareable image

Type or paste a quote, add the author, pick a style and download a ready-to-post image. The text is sized automatically to fill the space, so a short line comes out large and a longer passage shrinks to fit. You can change the font, alignment, colours and size, add a quote mark, and use your own photo as the background with an adjustable dark overlay for readability.

Making it readable

Keep a strong contrast between text and background. On a photo, raise the dark overlay until the text is easy to read, since busy images fight with lettering. Shorter quotes look best in a bold font, while longer ones read better in a serif at a smaller size. Test your text and background colours with the Color Contrast Checker or pick a matching scheme in the Color Palette Generator.

Credit and permission

Always credit the person who said it, and make sure you have the right to use any photo you add as a background. Quotes from living authors and recent books are sometimes protected, so short attributed excerpts are the safe choice.

Frequently asked

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is drawn by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to Curious Assistant or anywhere else.

Why did the text size change when I added more words?

The text is fitted automatically to the space available, so longer quotes get a smaller size. Use the text size slider to make it a little larger or smaller.

Can I use my own photo as the background?

Yes. Choose Photo under Background and select an image. Use the Darken photo slider to keep the text readable.

What size should I pick for Instagram?

Use Square for a standard post, Portrait for more space in the feed, and Story for stories and Reels covers.

PNG or JPEG?

PNG is sharpest, especially for flat colours and text. JPEG makes a smaller file and is fine for photo backgrounds.

Does it work in other languages?

Yes, for any text your device can display. Languages that read right to left may need the alignment set to Centre.
