This is a lightweight, hand-built converter covering the syntax above — it doesn't implement the full CommonMark specification (tables, nested lists, footnotes and a few other extended features aren't supported).

Is any raw HTML I type rendered?
No — your input is escaped before Markdown formatting is applied, so typing HTML tags shows them as literal text in the preview rather than running them. This keeps the preview predictable.
Does this support tables or nested lists?
Not yet — this is a lightweight converter covering the most common Markdown syntax (headings, emphasis, links, lists, quotes, code). Full CommonMark tables and nested lists aren't implemented.
