Password Generator

Choose a length and which character types to include, and get a cryptographically random password instantly.

How it's calculated

Every character is chosen using crypto.getRandomValues, with at least one character guaranteed from each selected type, then the result is shuffled — also using cryptographic randomness, not a predictable shuffle. Nothing generated here is sent anywhere or logged.

Frequently asked

Why exclude ambiguous characters?

Characters like 0/O or l/1/I look alike in many fonts, which causes typos when a password is read off a screen or written down. Excluding them trades a small amount of randomness for fewer transcription errors.

Is it safe to generate a password for a real account here?

The generation itself is safe — it runs in your browser and nothing is transmitted. As with any password tool, use it over a device and browser you trust, and don't reuse the same password across important accounts.
